A free workshop – Setting up EPS recycling services
The NSW EPA is running a free workshop – Setting up EPS Recycling Services – at Randwick on Thursday 10 April 2014, between 11.30am-3.30pm.
Designed for waste landfill owners/operators, local government waste managers, large generators or aggregators of EPS, social enterprises, waste and recycling contractors (especially transporters), EPS equipment and service companies and logistics companies, the workshop will introduce you to a comprehensive guide to setting up EPS Recycling and associate tools, resources and EPS directory.
Bronwyn will present alongside Pat Armstrong (Pat Armstrong Consulting), Grahame Collier (T Issues Consultancy) and Angus Johnston (NSW EPA)
This workshop was developed using the learnings from the NSW EPA EPS Recycling Pilot Program. Aiming to support and sustain an increase in EPS recycling by 59,000m3 on an annual basis, the project was administered by NSW EPA in conjunction with the Australian Packaging Covenant in 2012-13. The program provided funding to 18 organisations in NSW which enabled them to implement EPS recycling infrastructure and facilities. A parallel project of the NSW EPA developed, delivered and evaluated a range of communications and marketing tools and resources specific to EPS recycling.
Outcomes of Pilot Program included development of a comprehensive ‘Guide to setting up EPS recycling’, a range of communications and education materials and an directory of EPS recycling service providers. These will shortly be publically available for use by organisations who are venturing into EPS recycling.
Marketing, communications and education program development, project evaluation, development of the directory and the how to guide was managed by Pat Armstrong Consulting with the support of T Issues Consultancy and Mesch Engagement in 2012-2013.
Registrations close 8 April 2014.
